Pharmaceutical companies as a mafia.
Farmaceutical companies black truth revealed.
How does a Rs 5 drug form 106? This is the game of hospitals-pharmaceutical companies.
Private govts have no regard for government and government rules in making profit. Not only for the sake of its profits, but the government is giving the cheap treatment to everyone, the chaos is being spreading, but the lives of the patients are also being played out. Some medical devices and pharma companies are also accompanying them in this work.
However, after the opening of the case, charges are being framed against each other. Doctors with pharma and medical device industry are also blaming the private hospitals as the main culprits. Even hospitals do not even care about the serious charges facing themselves. At the same time, the loop-hole has also emerged in government rules.
1. How is the whole game going -
According to the report released by the NPPA's deputy director Anand Prakash, the steps have been taken to rob the private hospital patients, who are selling 5 rupees of medicine and selling it for 106 rupees. They buy a medicine of Rs 5 in the presumption and the MRP on it is Rs 106. At the same time, a syringe of 13.64 rupees is purchased and its MRP is 189.95. The report mentions hundreds of medicines or consumeables, which have been taken from 250% to 1737% margins. That means patients' pocket was cut 17 times more.
2- More use of non-shielded medicines -
According to the report, the hospital insists on writing the same medicines, which are not included in the list of essential drugs of government. Actually, the government fixes the maximum price for the drugs involved in the list of essential drugs, which provides a penalty for charging higher prices. To avoid this, the hospitals sell non-shied drugs instead of the medicines offered in the list, which are exempted from playing with MRP.
3- Break the exit of rules -
Hospitals are not afraid of government rigidity. For this reason, they raise MRP on those drugs, whose retail price has been decided by the government. On the other hand, some pharma companies are manipulating new drugs or FDCs on the base of the drugs, which come out of the price control.
4- Do not be afraid of litigation -
In the case of overcharging, the government imposes a penalty on pharmaceutical companies. There is a provision for recovering extras from companies. But even after this, some companies are overpriced without fear. According to a report, in total cases of overcharging, litigation is only going on in 90 per cent of cases. 2600 crores is outstanding, which the government has to recover from the pharmaceutical companies. Most cases are pulled up like this, because of this, companies are doing this again and again.
5. Economics of the industry can worsen -
Founder of the Association of Indian Medical Equipment Industry and Forum Co-ordinator Rajiv Nath also admitted that some of these medical device companies are also involved in the robbery of private hospitals. However, he says that the image of the whole industry is spoiling only the Guinea-only companies, who are pressuring the MRP to come under the pressure of private hospitals in the greed of profit. They say that there is a clear message from us that companies should stop doing so, otherwise the government can decide on the cost of many useful medical devices at the cost of 70 to 80 percent of the cost of the stent. If this happens, then the entire Economics of the industry will change.
6. Loop-hole from the government too -
Industry analysts believe that this game is not being run without a government loop-hole. The government decides the price of medicines, but there is no such a strong system for monitoring, due to which the manufacturers are scared. At the same time, the government has not been able to fix trade margins on all the products so far. The Medical Device Industry is constantly demanding a trade margin. If this happens then the MRP game itself will be stopped.
7. Pharma Industry Locked on Hospitals -
DG Shah, Secretary General, Indian Pharmaceuticals Alliance, says that drug companies provide medicines at minimal cost during procurement. Even the manufacturers give medicines at a lower cost than MRP. But the price of these same medicines is increasing multi-folding after reaching the stalker from the stalker. In this work, private hospitals are guilty who are engaged in unethical marketing practice. Read further, the image of the spoiled pharma industry .......
8. Domestic Pharma Industry Image -
Shah says that if the government feels that any drug company is guilty then he will take action on it. This will make the situation more clear. The government has the right to recover from the extra-money pharmaceutical companies. Although he made it clear that almost all drug companies are selling medicines at the fixed rate, but there is no control over the hospitals regarding MRP. At the same time, due to this move of hospitals, the image of the Indian Pharma industry is getting worse not only in India but in the whole world.
Thanking you.
