Who were the Birsa Munda
Birsa Munda was born in 1875 in Ranchi of Jharkhand state. Birsa's father 'Sugana Munda' was a collaborator of German religion campaigners. He studied at the German Mission School of Chaibasa for a few days. But the ridicule of his tribal culture in schools was not tolerated, Birsa did not tolerate. On this, they also began to mock the priests and their religion. Then what was left Christian missionaries put them out of school.
A new twist in Birsa's life
After this there was a new turn in Birsa's life. He was contacted by Swami Anand Pandey and he got the introduction of the characters of Hindu religion and Mahabharata. Anger against the British

Creation of tribal organization
But where Birsa was supposed to be. After leaving, he made two groups of his followers. One party started promoting Munda Dharma and the other started doing political work. New youths were also recruited. On this, the government again lifted the warrant of his arrest, but Birsa Munda did not come in the catch. The movement of this time forcefully carried forward with the objective of power over power. The removal of European officials and clerks and their place was decided to establish a new state under Birsa's leadership.
Birsa Munda, declaring to rebel against the British in the year 1900, said, "We declare a revolt against the British Shashan-tantra and will never follow the British rules, o British women who are white, what do you do in our country ? Chota Nagpur is ours for centuries and you can not snatch it from us, so it is better to go back to your country or else there will be piles of corpses. "This announcement was sent to the British in a declaration, then the British sent their army to capture Birsa.
Arrest and martyrdom
On 24th December, 1899 an agitation was launched, in which arrows were attacked by the arrows on police stations and set on fire. There was a direct encounter with the army, but the arrows and arches did not face the bullets. Birsa Munda's companions were killed in large numbers The British government arrested Munda on 3 February 1900 to suppress the revolt when he was sleeping in the forest with his tribal guerrilla army. At that time 460 tribals were also arrested with them.
Two members of his caste got Birsa Munda arrested for the greed of money. On June 9, 1900, his mysterious death took place in Ranchi jail. The British government had described the cause of death as cholera, while there were no symptoms of cholera. Perhaps they were poisoned. At the age of 25, he did such a thing that even today the tribal people of Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa remember him.
